A big hello to everyone, and to the wonderful month of June.
June is quite an interesting month! It holds the longest day of the year ( June 21st ). So for the next few weeks we will continue to have increasing lighter and, hopefully warmer, nights. Let’s hope the weather just keeps getting more pleasant!
There are some other interesting dates this month: The birthday of the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, on Friday the 10th June, followed by Queen Elizabeth’s official birthday on Saturday the 11th . And of course, let’s not forget nanookies competition draw on Friday 17th, where one lucky winner will win a pair of Solaris Vertical Earrings.

Two days after the competition is drawn, we celebrate Father’s day on Sunday the 19th June. Nanookie has some lovely gift ideas for father’s day presents this year. For the personal touch our wonderful shop owner, Adornment by Gilli Reeves, has a gorgeous handmade "Always my Dad, Forever my Friend" Pillow. Alternately, the fantastic “Poshcuff’s” nanookie store has a selection of stunning cufflinks to smarten any suit and put a sparkle in the eye of a wonderful father.
We have recently introduced the new father’s day button on nanookies front page, where you can be taken straight to a range of unique father’s day gifts from some of our great independent sellers. My 5 year old daughter already has her eye on some of these and has put in a few requests for which ones she would like to buy her dad. How fast they grow up! I’m sure her father will be pleased if she gets her own way though.
There is a new range of truly fantastic maternity clothes from our seller, Lafeenoire. These include some wonderfully glamorous summer dresses to help keep cool this summer.
In our featured flash video we have Baby Bouquets - Baby Clothes in a Floral Arrangement! Baby Bouquets offer two gifts in one ... a handmade basket of baby clothes & silk flowers which doubles as a decorative floral arrangement for new mothers, as well as clothing for the new baby.
In the “nanookie recommends” section this month is our wonderful nanookie store, Pony Maloney. We think that they have some gorgeous gifts for girls who love ponies. We particularly love the ponies t-shirts. We think it’s very apt for the up and coming great British summer.
